We made kites. We made them with dowels, tyvec, and sharpies mostly. It was fun.
These are my preliminary designs.
Kite Reflection
1. I think the strong parts of my kite are the creativity. I think that the idea of paint dripping is pretty creative. I did well with having a lot of colors.
2. I should have originally measured my kite better. It would've saved me a lot of trouble later.
3. My theme was paint dripping. I used bright colors. Primary colors and secondary colors. I used this because it gave the idea like the paint was going to drip off the kite onto the people below.
4. It has asymmetrical balance beacuse all of the paint drips are different.
5. I chose the primary and secondary colors because they are bright and happy and how I like to think of paint.
6. I learned from this project to really prepare before you start the final project because I had wrong measurements and it really sucked later.
7. I did my kite the way I did because it just happened. It was originally going to be smaller, but in the end there was enough tyvec to make it bigger. I'm glad I made it bigger than my original plan. My paint idea I planned from the beginning though.
8. It is a worth-while project, it was just very difficult because 60% of the time I had no idea what I was doing. Next time it would be nice to have Mr. Purdy around more. But otherwise it was good.
